Can I Cook This Product instead of Feeding Raw?

YES – We know that some pets with GI upset or pancreatitis are vulnerable and may not be able to eat a raw product so this product has been formulated carefully to ensure that it is still nutritionally balanced when fed raw OR when cooked.

If you need to cook this product, just take out the amount you need and cook gently at medium heat in an oven dish (160-180 degrees celcius until cooked through). Feed the cooking juices too – they are nutritious!

Unrivalled Telephone Advice:

Our dedicated Vet-Line means that you and your vet can speak to a qualified veterinary surgeon or registered veterinary nurse about our products.

Nutritional Breakdowns:

Our food is formulated using nutrition profiles of every ingredient. We use the same sources and the same cuts of meat to ensure that our product is as consistent between batches.

What are the ‘additives’ and why use them?

Zinc is particularly important for skin health and healing and can sometimes be low in other raw completes. The Zinc Oxide and Zinc Sulphate used in some other pet foods can be poorly and unpredictably absorbed. We chose Zinc Picolinate because it is gentle on the stomach and its bioavailability is far better (it is better used by your dog!).

What is the ‘picolinate bit?’ – It’s ‘Picolinic Acid’ – just a ‘piece’ of protein taken from tryptophan (the calming amino acid).

D-alpha tocopherol – Natural Vitamin E from vegetable oil – a powerful antioxidant to prevent cell damage. It also prevents cell damage in the tub before you feed it ensuring your dog’s dinner stays in optimal condition!
Vitamin E deficiency is common in both animals and humans and can increase the chances of developing degenerative diseases and cancer – so it’s vital there’s enough to protect both your dog, and his dinner! 🙂
